Just Thinking

It's a bit funny - it seems that I can't quite put into words all that is running around in my head - as well as what is filtering down into my heart. It seems that the words to the songs I keep posting are able to say a bit more of some of the things I am feeling.

When I think about God's Faithfulness - and the title of this blog "Revisited" - I hope I never grow weary of experiencing His faithfulness. I hope that I never stop being amazed by His goodness and His grace. That despite the hard times and the sad times - God does not change. There is nothing that can seperate us from His love which means we can not lose His faithfulness, His Grace, His Mercy or any part of His character. For those who are His - we are His forever.

I keep thinking of the song by Third Day "Your Love Oh Lord" - It is a simple song but once again has such a heart penetrating message for me anyway.

"Your Love oh Lord - Reaches to the heavens.

Your Faithfulness stretches to the sky.

Your righteousness is like the mighty mountain.

Your justice flows like the ocean tide.

And I will lift my voice to worship You my King

And I will find my strength in the shadow of Your wing."

Sometimes - when it feels a bit dark or heavy we find our comfort in knowing the character of God - At times it is the only thing we find solace in. And there is such a great comfort in knowing that it is in His arms - the shadow of His Wings - where we are carried when we can't see where the strength will come from.

God's Faithfulness Revisited? I pray I never get tired of His character - and I pray that I never stop being amazed.

"And I will lift my voice to worship You my King

And I will find my strength in the shadow of Your Wing...."
